Be Healed Movement

When my six year old daughter, Shiloh, was in Kindergarten, she had just lost her papa (grandfather) to sickness, her family unit to divorce, and her close friend to relocation. She cried alone sitting on the playground and a teacher came and told her to stop crying. When Shiloh couldn’t, the teacher said, “big girls don’t cry.” That was when I realized we have old language around emotional health that keeps us from healing. We were intentionally designed to release emotional pain through tears. That began my dream of launching a clothing line that would confront old archaic language around wholeness that we used to believe. My hope is that people will read the clothes when they’re worn, and internalize or at least consider the truth they present. I pray the messages in the design will spread the message of wholeness to people who otherwise wouldn’t hear it.
